Students and Young Professionals

How to Join

Graduates: Visit the AusIMM website on applying for membership where you can fill in the application forms electronically.

Students: The NZ Branch has a policy of funding the membership fees of student members. To be eligible you must be enrolled in a full time minerals related course and live in New Zealand.

New Student Members: To apply for student membership, simply print and complete the AusIMM membership application form (PDF) and send a scanned copy to the New Zealand Branch Treasurer.  The Treasurer will ensure that you meet the criteria and then forward the application with payment to the AusIMM in Melbourne.

Existing Student Members – Membership Renewal: New Zealand Branch will pay for membership renewals of existing student members. In this case, complete the first page of the AusIMM membership application form and send a scanned copy to the Treasurer along with a statement that you are still enrolled in a full time minerals related course and live in New Zealand.  Again, the Treasurer will ensure that you meet the criteria and forward the application with payment to Melbourne.

Remember to send your form to the New Zealand Branch Treasurer.  Don’t submit it directly, or you won’t receive the subsidy.
